Regulatory Update | Chile (SUBTEL) QR Code Compliance for Wireless, SRD & IoT Devices

Chile’s telecommunications authority SUBTEL has announced a new QR-based compliance requirement for Short-Range Devices, wireless, and IoT products sold or imported into Chile, effective February 2026. Devices must display a QR code that links to an online compliance webpage showing SUBTEL approval, certificates, and test information in a verified format.

For existing approved products, a QR code linking to current SUBTEL approval will be required, with no new local representative needed. For new products submitted after February 2026, both the QR code and compliance webpage are mandatory, and a local representative in Chile will be required.
