Malaysia SIRIM/MCMC – Voice on 5G

Malaysia SIRIM/MCMC Just announced the requirement for 5G equipment which contains voice function supporting Voice over New Radio VoNR)/ Voice over 5G (Vo5G) must comply with the requirements stated in 3GPP TS 34.229-5. Applicant is required to submit a test report of evaluation in order to be granted with full approval.

This is in line with  MCMC MTSFB TC T016:2021 that published on 24th August 2021.

During the application for 5G product we will need to Declare whether the VoNR / Vo5G feature is ENABLED or DISABLED.

On the other hand, if the 5G equipment that can make voice call but DOES NOT SUPPORT VoNR/ Vo5G feature, the applicant is required to submit an official declaration letter.
