Jordan TRC Updates Import Approval Rules for Telecom Equipment

On September 16, 2025, the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) of Jordan issued Instructions No. 2 of 2025, revising the approval procedures for importing telecommunications and communications equipment.

Key updates include:

• Accredited Test Reports: Only ILAC-MRA accredited lab reports are now accepted.
• Approval Validity: Both new and renewal approvals are valid for one year.
• Expanded Exemption List: More products—such as laptops, projectors, scanners, wireless accessories, and non-radio electronic components—are now exempt from approval requirements.

These changes aim to simplify the import process and clearly define products exempt from TRC type approval.
