Oman’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has updated its type approval requirements and no longer accepts wireless module approvals as a basis for market access.
Under the updated requirements, products previously approved based on an already-certified wireless module must now undergo a separate Oman TRA Type Approval process for the complete end product before entering the Omani market.
Manufacturers and importers should ensure that their final products obtain the necessary approval, even if the incorporated wireless module has already received Oman TRA approval.
